Man arrested in Afzalgunj for stealing three bikes

The Afzalgunj Police have arrested a liquor depot worker from Amberpet for allegedly stealing three two-wheelers and recovered the vehicles.

The arrest of 39-year-old Md. Riyaz Uddin alias Riyaz was following a complaint on February 11 by P. Mahender, an office subordinate at Osmania General Hospital, who reported that his motorcycle was stolen from the hospital parking area between 10.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. the same day.

Police said CCTV footage and local enquiries led to the apprehension of the accused. During the investigation, he was allegedly linked to two earlier thefts of Honda Activa scooters reported on November 25, 2025 and January 1, 2026, in the Afzalgunj area.

All three stolen vehicles have been recovered. Further investigation is underway.
