Man Detained After Knife Attack On Jewish Community Members In North London, 2 Injured

Stabbing incident at Golders Green leaves two injured as emergency services respond with ambulance and police helicopter.

Two people were stabbed in north London’s Golders Green on Wednesday, local Jewish neigborhood watch group Shomrim said, adding that the accused was detained immediately.

The man was “seen running along Golders Green Road armed with a knife and attempting to stab Jewish members of the public," Shomrim said, adding that they responded immediately.

According to CNN, several emergency service vehicles, including an ambulance and police helicopter, reached the spot soon after the incident.

Following the incident, Prime Minister Keir Starmer told the House of Commons the incident was “deeply concerning".

This is not the first time that Jewish community members have been attacked. According to Reuters, London police, over the last month, have arrested more than two dozen people as part of investigations into attacks on Jewish-linked premises, including the torching of ambulances, and attempted arson attacks on synagogues.
