Man dies in road accident near Namakkal

NAMAKKAL: A man died and another suffered injuries when a two-wheeler they were travelling on skidded and hit an electric pole near Anangur Government High School in Namakkal district on Wednesday.The deceased has been identified as K Soundarrajan, 26, of Kunnathur Saminathapuram.Soundararajan was riding the two-wheeler while M Kavin, 22, of Chinna Kavundampalayam was riding pillion on it. The accident happened when they were travelling from Paramathi Vellore to Jedarpalayam."Soundararajan suffered a chest injury and died on the spot," said an officer at the Jedarpalayam police station. Kavin suffered a fracture on his leg and was admitted to government hospital in Paramathi Velur.The Jedarpalayam police registered a case.
