Man killed, mother critical after speeding truck hits bike

Indore: A 26-year-old man was killed and his mother critically injured after a speeding truck hit their motorcycle while they were crossing the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near the Mahi river early Wednesday morning.

The accident took place around 5:30 am under the Khawasa outpost area of Jhabua.The man was identified as Omprakash Ninama, a resident of Movdipada Faliya in Talawada village. His mother, Meta Ninama, was referred to Ratlam for treatment. Omprakash’s infant son, who was accompanying them at the time, escaped unhurt.Police said that the family was heading to Piplimal village to seek traditional healing treatment for the child when the accident occurred. Omprakash had got married just a year ago.After receiving information, Khawasa outpost in-charge Naresh Ninama reached the spot with a team. Police conducted the spot inspection and sent the body for postmortem examination.
