In a shocking turn of events, 55-year-old Santosh Seth lost his life in a violent altercation in Turha Toli, Buxar. What began as a disagreement with a local vegetable seller escalated into chaos on Tuesday night, leading to a brutal attack involving bricks and stones.
Buxar: A 55-year-old man was allegedly killed after being attacked with bricks and stones on Tuesday night at Turha Toli in the civil lines area under the Town police station in Buxar.
The deceased was identified as Santosh Seth (55).Tension gripped the locality following the incident with a large number of residents gathering at the spot till late night. Police took possession of the body and sent it for postmortem examination. An investigation has been initiated.According to family members, Santosh had a long-standing dispute with a local vegetable vendor. Police said the old rivalry escalated on Tuesday night, culminating in the fatal attack.
Family members alleged that an argument broke out between the two around 9.30pm and soon turned violent.During the altercation, the accused allegedly assaulted Santosh with bricks and stones. He sustained severe head and body injuries and collapsed on the spot. Locals rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
