During a joint raid conducted by the Commissioner’s Task Force, Golconda team and Tappachabutra police, a man was apprehended for manufacturing bakery products without a valid licence and in unhygienic conditions at a unit operating as ‘Chand Bakery’ in Tappachabutra on Thursday.
During the raid, officials seized bakery-related materials and equipment worth ₹2.77 lakh, including maida, sugar, cooking oil, cake powder, coconut powder, sauce cartons, chicken stock, bread boxes and weighing equipment.
Syed Khadeer, 42, was found to be running the unit without valid food, manufacturing, labour or trade licences. Police said the accused was preparing and storing bakery products in unhygienic conditions and supplying them to kirana stores, cafes and hotels.
Police said the activity posed a risk to public health as consumption of such products could lead to health issues. A case has been registered at Tappachabutra police station under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
The raid was carried out under the supervision of Additional DCP Ande Srinivasa Rao, along with officials of the Task Force and Tappachabutra police.
