Man says his wife kidnapped by her relatives

A man from Belagavi has complained to the police that his wife was kidnapped by her relatives who are trying to get her married to another man.

Venkateshwar Rathod also complained to the Hire Bagewadi Police that his wife’s relatives Rudrappa Hanchinamani and Pradeep Hanchinamani assaulted him and took away valuables from him.

“I met the woman in 2016 and married her in 2022. Her relatives did not like the decision. They kidnapped her and kept her away from me. Now, they are trying to get her married to another man,” he said in his complaint.
