Man stabs ex-girlfriend inside office after break-up, incident caught on CCTV

A 30-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her former partner inside a private company office at Bestech Mall in Mohali, Punjab. The incident, which was captured on CCTV cameras, shows the accused attacking the victim multiple times while she was working late on Thursday evening. Other employees present at the SPR Logistics office attempted to intervene and stop the attack but were unsuccessful. Following the stabbing, the accused attempted suicide by turning the weapon on himself. Both individuals were rushed to a nearby Fortis hospital in a critical condition. Doctors pronounced the woman dead upon arrival, while the accused remains critically injured and is undergoing treatment. Preliminary police investigations reveal that the two colleagues had previously shared a romantic relationship that ended six months ago. The accused had reportedly been experiencing mental distress and was attempting to rekindle the relationship before the fatal altercation occurred. The Mohali police have registered a case, secured the CCTV footage, and summoned the families of both individuals from Patiala for further investigation.
