US-based Indian-origin actress and designer Anjali Phougat has said she remains open to acting opportunities and would consider reality television if the platform aligns with her values.
Speaking about her acting experience, Anjali recalled her role in the short film Inclusion Through Unity.“I did act in a short film called Inclusion Through Unity a couple of years ago. That experience was meaningful for me because it allowed me to explore storytelling in a different medium beyond fashion, and I genuinely enjoyed being part of something that carried a social message.” She revealed that she has received acting offers since then but has not pursued them due to logistical challenges and creative considerations.“Since then, I have been offered several film projects and Bollywood subjects as well. However, many of them did not materialize due to practical challenges, especially because I am based in the United States.” Talking about her ties with the film industry, Anjali said, “Ashmit Patel is a very dear friend to me; he feels like family. He is extremely humble and grounded, and our friendship is built on mutual respect and warmth.
”She also praised actor Abhay Verma, saying, “Interacting with artists like them has always been inspiring. I've learned a lot from these friendships, especially about discipline, humility, and the dedication it takes to build a career in cinema.”
