Marco Rubio India Visit LIVE: US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is set to visit Agra and Jaipur on the third day of his maiden India trip, while the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting on May 26 remains one of the most significant engagements of his four-day visit.
During the first two days of his visit, Rubio held a series of high-level discussions in New Delhi with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar. The top aide to US President Donald Trump is expected to return to the national capital for the crucial Quad Foreign Ministers’ Meeting before wrapping up his India tour on May 26, 2026.
Following his talks with Jaishankar on Sunday, Rubio said that ties between the two countries continue to remain strong.
“India-US relations have not lost momentum … India-US relations will come out much stronger in the coming years,” Rubio said.
He also expressed hope that the long-awaited trade agreement between India and the United States would be finalised soon, noting that both nations are “strategically aligned” on nearly all major global matters.
The discussions between the two leaders also covered developments in the Middle East conflict.
Speaking after the meeting, Jaishankar said, “We discussed the situation in Middle East, Indian subcontinent and East Asia,” while also reiterating that India supports “unimpeded” maritime commerce.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is scheduled to visit Agra on Monday as part of his ongoing India tour. According to the itinerary, Rubio will arrive at Kheria Airport at 9:00 AM and proceed to Hotel Amar Vilas. At 10:30 AM, he will travel by cart from the hotel to the Taj Mahal, where he is expected to spend nearly one-and-a-half hours visiting the monument.
After returning to Amar Vilas at around 12:30 PM, the US Secretary of State will leave for Kheria Airport at 1:00 PM to depart for Jaipur.
