PM Narendra Modi said the India AI Impact Summit reflects India’s growing technological strength and global role in shaping AI discussions.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that the India AI Impact Summit has drawn global attention to the country’s growing technological capabilities, calling it a moment of pride for the nation and a reflection of the potential of India’s youth.

In a series of posts on social media platform X, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of the Summit being hosted in New Delhi and emphasised India’s expanding role in shaping global conversations around Artificial Intelligence (AI).

“It is a matter of immense pride for us that people from all over the world are coming to India for the India AI Impact Summit. This also shows the capability of our country’s youth," PM Modi said.

He added that the gathering demonstrates the rapid strides India is making in science and technology.

“This occasion is further proof that our country is progressing rapidly in the field of science and technology and is making an important contribution to global development," he noted.

Welcoming international delegates, policymakers, innovators and industry leaders attending the event at Bharat Mandapam, PM Modi said the Summit aims to bring the global community together to deliberate on the future of AI.

“Bringing the world together to discuss AI! Starting today, India hosts the AI Impact Summit at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. I warmly welcome world leaders, captains of industry, innovators, policymakers, researchers and tech enthusiasts from across the world for this Summit," he wrote.

The Prime Minister also underlined the theme of the Summit, Sarvajana Hitaya, Sarvajana Sukhaya, meaning welfare for all and happiness for all, describing it as a reflection of a shared commitment to harness AI for human-centric progress.

Highlighting the growing impact of AI across sectors, PM Modi said, “AI today is transforming several sectors, including healthcare, education, agriculture, governance and enterprise."

He expressed confidence that deliberations during the summit would enrich global discourse on innovation, collaboration and responsible use of the technology, adding that the outcomes would help shape a progressive and opportunity-driven future.

He further credited citizens for India’s rapid advancement in the field.

“Thanks to the 1.4 billion people of India, our nation stands at the forefront of the AI transformation. From digital public infrastructure to a vibrant Startup ecosystem and cutting-edge research, our strides in AI reflect both ambition and responsibility," the Prime Minister said.

PM Modi is also scheduled to inaugurate the India AI Impact Expo 2026 at Bharat Mandapam.

The Expo, being held from February 16 to 20 alongside the Summit, spans more than 70,000 square metres across 10 arenas and brings together global technology firms, startups, academia, research institutions, union ministries, state governments and international partners.

The event will feature 13 country pavilions showcasing international collaboration in the AI ecosystem and more than 300 curated exhibition spaces, along with live demonstrations.
