Real Madrid’s dressing room unrest grows as incidents involving Mbappe and Rudiger spark concerns over unity during a crucial stretch of the season.

Things are beginning to unravel at Real Madrid, and it’s not a pretty sight.

Amid growing whispers of unrest, fresh reports of separate flashpoints involving Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger have only deepened concerns about a fractured dressing room.

According to The Athletic, the mood at Valdebebas is at one of its most fragile points this season, a worrying sign for a club navigating a turbulent run of results.

Cracks Begin To Show

The first signs of trouble reportedly emerged in April, when Rudiger was involved in a heated altercation with a teammate during training.

The German defender is said to have instigated the clash, adding to tensions in a squad still reeling from their UEFA Champions League exit to Bayern Munich.

While Rudiger later attempted to smooth things over, apologising and even hosting a team dinner, the incident left behind a lingering sense of unease.

Mbappe In The Spotlight

More recently, Mbappe has found himself at the centre of controversy.

The French forward was reportedly involved in a heated exchange with a member of Alvaro Arbeloa’s coaching staff during training. The flashpoint? An offside call during a drill, made by a staff member acting as an assistant referee.

Mbappe is said to have reacted angrily, using “insulting terms", an incident that has only added to concerns over his relationship with the club’s technical setup.

‘That’ Italy Trip

If that wasn’t enough, Mbappe’s recent off-field decision has further fuelled the fire.

After Real Madrid’s defeat to Real Betis, the forward, who had asked to be substituted due to a suspected hamstring issue, travelled to Italy during his recovery period.

With Madrid locked in a tense La Liga title race and desperate to avoid the indignity of giving FC Barcelona a guard of honour at the Bernabeu ahead of El Clasico, the trip was seen by some within the club as a questionable call.

Privately, certain staff members have criticised the lack of stricter oversight.

Mbappe’s camp has pushed back, insisting the trip was part of a recovery plan approved by medical staff. But internally, doubts remain.
