Gannavaram MLA Yarlagadda Venkata Rao said that medical students and doctors should come forward to contribute to the development of the State and urged them to set up hospitals in the capital region of Amaravati.
Inaugurating a week-long medical exhibition on the premises of Pinnamaneni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Foundation at Chinna Avutapalli in Gannavaram on Monday (August 4, 2025), the MLA encouraged medical students to set up more hospitals in the capital region in future to obliterate the need for people to travel to Hyderabad or Chennai for treatment.
He said the students of today should become employment providers tomorrow, and that everyone should make efforts in this direction. He commended the medical community for its contributions to the society and urged students to provide services to the poor people free of charge whenever they can.
He said it is commendable that the Siddhartha Academy, established 50 years ago, is now providing education to more than 20,000 students every year through 20 educational institutes under its fold. More than 500 students from various schools and colleges took part in the medical exhibition on the first day.
