Even Lionel Messi couldn’t script a happy ending this time.

Inter Miami CF blew a commanding 3-0 lead to lose 4-3 against Orlando City SC on Saturday, extending their winless run at the Nu Stadium to four games.

Messi was playing his 100th match for the club, and he delivered, as usual — with a goal and two assists — to seemingly put Miami in cruise control.

Instead, it turned into a defensive nightmare.

Dream Start Turns Disaster

Miami came flying out of the blocks.

Ian Fray opened the scoring in just the fourth minute, before Telasco Segovia doubled the lead midway through the first half.

Then came the moment of Messi magic, as the Argentine curled in a trademark left-footed strike from outside the box in the 33rd minute to make it 3-0.

Game over? Not even close.

Orlando hit back almost immediately, with Martin Ojeda pulling one back in the 39th minute with a stunning long-range effort.

Ojeda Leads Stunning Comeback

The second half belonged entirely to Orlando, and especially Ojeda.

He struck again in the 68th minute with another effort from the edge of the box before calmly slotting home a penalty in the 79th minute to complete his hat-trick and level the game.

Miami, rattled and disjointed at the back, had no answers.

Then, deep into stoppage time, Tyrese Spicer raced onto a long ball, slipped past the defense, and fired through the legs of goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair to seal a stunning 4-3 win.

New ‘Nu Stadium’ Cursed?

For Miami, the numbers are damning: four straight home games without a win, and a second defeat of the Major League Soccer season.

If the Nu Stadium isn’t cursed, it’s doing a very convincing impression.
