Minor boy feared drowned in Ganga

Prayagraj: A 16-year-old boy, identified as Nilesh, a resident of Gauspur village, is feared to have drowned in the Ganga River at Ujihini Ghat under the Sandipan Ghat police station limits in Kaushambi district on Sunday.

According to police, the incident occurred when the boy had gone for goat grazing along with his friends. During this time, he entered the river for a swim, ventured into a deeper zone, and is suspected to have drowned. Upon being alerted, a team from Sandipan Ghat police station, along with swimmers and NDRF personnel, rushed to the spot and launched a search operation. The body was yet to be recovered.====eom
