New Delhi: Motorola has recently announced its latest Moto G17 series in which it includes two models: Moto G17 Power and Moto G17 devices which are unveils globally. According to Motorola, these devices are powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme processor and feature a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 primary camera sensor, marking their unveiling in the Moto G segment. The devices are available in Pantone-curated colour options, which include: Evening Blue, Alaskan Blue, Tarmac, and Bordeaux. The Motor G17 Power and Moto G17 will be available in select markets worldwide.
The latest Moto G17 Power and Moto G17 feature a leather-inspired finish and are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Moto G17 Power houses the 6,000mAh battery pack, while the Moto G17 comes with the 5,200mAh battery pack. Both the latest models are equipped with MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme processor, and it is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB internal storage, with support for expandable storage through a microSD card of up to 1TB. So those who want to expand the storage have the option to extend.
Moto G17 features a 6.72-inch FHD+ LCD display with a peak brightness of up to 1,500nits in High Brightness Mode. The device carries an IP64 rating for dust and water splash resistance, and the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Now if we discuss about the cameras, the Moto G17 comes with a 50MP Sony LYTIA 600 primary camera sensor, which coupled with a 5MP ultra-wide camera sensor, along with a 32MP front-facing camera. The camera setup includes features like ambient light sensing and flicker reduction to improve image clarity, along with the AI-based editing tools in Google Photos for quick edits and enhancements.
Motorola has claims to offer two years of security updates. Moto G17 series also comes with a range of software features such as Hello UX, Moto Secure, and gesture controls, by offering personalisation options, basic privacy controls, and quicker navigation. Google’s Gemini integration and Circle to Search are supported, enabling users to search for on-screen content by circling or tapping items directly. Audio is handled by the stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and the device also includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is now also loved by many users.
