Moving car gutted in fire

A moving car was completely destroyed after it caught fire near the Jagathy bridge in the city on Friday.

According to the police, the incident occurred while the vehicle was in motion. The occupants, a retired police officer identified as Radhakrishnan, a native of Ottasekharamangalam, and his wife, noticed sparks and immediately jumped out of the car. Their timely action helped them escape without injuries.

The fire was later brought under control by Fire and Rescue Services personnel, who stated that a battery short circuit is suspected to be the cause of the fire.
