MP Shabari appeals to Chief Minister to release funds for land acquisition

Nandyal MP Byreddy Shabari has appealed to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu to release funds for land acquisition for the construction of a road-under-bridge (RUB) at Nunepalli in Nandyal Town.

Ms Shabari, who is also national general secretary of the TDP, met Mr. Naidu during the latter’s visit to the national capital on Monday (May 11) and submitted a representation. Ms. Shabari drew to Mr. Naidu’s attention that road-over-bridge had been built at Nunepalli in the Nandyal Town as a replacement for level crossing No. 185.

However, due to heavy unauthorized entry of pedestrians, it had turned into a safety hazard for both the public and railway operations, Ms. Shabari said. She informed Mr. Naidu that acting upon her request, officials from the Railway, Revenue, and Municipal departments conducted a joint inspection on September 26, 2025. Based on the inspection report, a proposal has been put forward for the construction of a road-under-bridge, which required acquisition of 2,335 square metre of land, she added.

Ms. Shabari requested Mr Naidu to direct the officials to acquire the needed land for the construction of a RUB at Nunepalli for ensuring public and operational safety.
