In an unusual yet widely appreciated move, an MP from Uttar Pradesh's Saharanpur, Imran Masood, personally stepped in to manage a massive traffic jam in his constituency on Tuesday night, offering relief to commuters stranded for hours.

According to eyewitnesses, a long traffic snarl had brought movement to a standstill near a culvert in the area, with no traffic personnel in sight. Masood, who was passing through the stretch at the time, noticed the chaos and long queues of vehicles. Assessing the situation, he immediately stopped his car and took charge of the situation himself.

The MP got down on the road and began directing traffic, coordinating the movement of vehicles and urging commuters to follow instructions. He systematically cleared the congestion, allowing vehicles to pass one by one. Locals present at the spot also joined in to assist him, helping ease the bottleneck gradually.

A video of the incident, filmed by a bystander, has since gone viral on social media.

The incident has sparked widespread appreciation in the area, with many lauding the Congress MP’s approach. Residents said that while such situations often leave commuters waiting helplessly, Masood’s intervention helped restore traffic movement.
