The Muslim Students Federation (MSF) has urged the Central government to intervene to protect the future of lakhs of students in the wake of issues surrounding the NEET-UG examination.

MSF national president P.V. Ahamed Saju said here on Tuesday (May 12, 2026) that the credibility of the NEET-UG exam was called into question due to alleged negligence by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and lapses in its conduct.

He said a transparent investigation should conducted with strict legal action against those responsible for the irregularities.

Mr. Saju also called for comprehensive reforms in the examination system to prevent question paper leaks and other malpractices. He suggested a phased shift of NEET-UG to a computer-based (online) format with stronger technical safeguards, similar to the system used for NEET-PG.

He also proposed an initial aptitude test to shortlist the top 10% of candidates, followed by a highly secure offline examination with enhanced security measures.
