The makers of Katukutu Buro have unveiled the film's first teaser, offering audiences an intriguing glimpse into Ujaan Ganguly's directorial debut. Packed with mystery, emotion and surreal imagery, the 90-second teaser deliberately withholds answers, instead drawing viewers into a world where the ordinary gradually gives way to the inexplicable.Opening with a man struggling to breathe amid the sounds of what appears to be a birthday celebration, the teaser quickly shifts between moments of warmth and unease—a carefree laugh shared between friends, a child clutching a superhero action figure, and finally, the haunting image of that very toy transformed into a life-sized companion walking beside the boy through the darkness. Without revealing the story, the teaser establishes an atmosphere where joy and fear coexist, leaving a lasting impression.Speaking about the film, director, writer and actor Ujaan said, "Katukutu Buro invites audiences into a familiar world before quietly changing its rules. Even within a bleak reality, moments of magic can emerge. Every image has a reason, and the answers will unfold in the film."

Making her acting debut as Paro, Rapurna Bhattacharyya shared that the teaser captures both comfort and unease without demanding immediate interpretation.
"It lingers with you, and that's exactly what drew me to Paro and the story. I can't wait for audiences to experience it on the big screen," she said.At its heart, Katukutu Buro is a love story between Kedar and Paro, portrayed by Ujaan and Rapurna Bhattacharyya. However, love in this world is intertwined with mystery, as an unnamed presence begins to cast its shadow over their lives. The film also stars the late Rahul Banerjee, Lama Halder, Anujoy Chattopadhyay, Churni Ganguly, Biswanath Basu, Bhaswar Chatterjee, Biswajit Chakraborty, Shankar Chakraborty and others, with music composed by Debayan Banerjee, Ujaan and Cizzy.
