Nancy Guthrie case: Fourth ransom note surfaces as DNA test on glove yields no match

Three weeks after the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, investigators have learned about a new, fourth ransom note. Authorities also reported that the glove found near Nancy Guthrie’s home does not match anything in the national database.

The 84-year-old has been missing since February 1.

New developments in the case emerge as TMZ reported that someone claiming to know what happened to Guthrie sent a fourth note, demanding confidential payment in exchange for revealing the information.The latest note is seemingly from the same individual who has been sending letters to TMZ regarding Guthrie for some time. However, the person is reportedly refusing to reveal any details to avoid getting arrested before claiming the USD 100,000 reward from the FBI.

No DNA matches found on the recovered glove

As per a report in Sky News, DNA recovered from a glove found near the home of Nancy Guthrie does not match anything in a national database, authorities have said. This comes after authorities announced they had obtained a DNA sample from a glove found near the property on Sunday.The glove appeared to match the pair worn by a masked prowler seen in doorbell camera footage before Nancy was abducted, and forensic experts hoped to find a match on a national DNA database.

It was announced on Tuesday that no match had been found.Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has said he believes the man in the doorbell video is the likely perpetrator of the abduction and the primary person authorities are looking for.The Guthrie family, who have released several public appeals for help, have been ruled out as suspects and are holding out hope that Nancy is still alive. The disappearance is still being treated by police and the FBI as an apparent kidnapping for ransom.
