The latest development about Nancy Guthrie that has come to the light is that the federal agents has seized a gray Range Rover during their late-night operation in Tucson. The SUV was searched and seized by the FBI on Friday, according to Newsweek.Visuals from the scene was aired on local channel KGUN 9. It showed FBI agents and Pima County deputies examining the vehicle in a Culver’s parking lot about two miles from Guthrie’s home. The Officers were captured clicking photos, inspecting the SUV, and covering it as part of the ongoing investigation into her disappearance.While the footage was aired on the local channel, authorities have refrained from revealing who owns the SUV or how it is connected to the case.As the investigation continues, new photos show FBI agents and SWAT teams conducting operations about two miles from Guthrie’s home. In one of the photos, FBI agents are captured overseeing the removal of a Range Rover from a parking lot next to a restaurant.A photographer at the scene said officials inspected the SUV and sealed its trunk before taking it into custody, according to Newsweek. The vehicle was found near a neighborhood that had been sealed off by police earlier that evening as they continued investigating the circumstances surrounding Guthrie’s case.
The action involving the vehicle took place at the same time as a larger police operation. This included a SWAT presence at a nearby home and several people being detained.
However, officials clarified that those detentions were not arrests and did not reveal the identities of any possible suspects.The sheriff’s department said the investigation is being conducted in coordination with the FBI. And only limited information is being shared at the bureau’s request.The Pima County Sheriff's Department posted on X shortly before midnight local time (2 a.m. ET), after the reports began circulation, “Law enforcement activity is underway at a residence near E Orange Grove Rd & N First Ave related to the Guthrie case,” following the emergence of news reports. “Because this is a joint investigation, at the request of the FBI, no additional information is currently available.”For the uninitiated, Nancy Guthrie was reported missing on February 1, and authorities suspect she may have been abducted from her Tucson home.The FBI has now raised the reward to $100,000 for information that could help find her or result in an arrest, as officials continue to investigate several possible leads.
