Tollywood star Nandamuri Balakrishna was recently recognised by the World Book of Records, London, Gold Edition, for completing a remarkable 50-year journey in the film industry. Recently, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan, who shares a close personal and professional bond with the 'Akhanda' star, wrote a celebratory message.

The 'OG' actor expressed his admiration, speaking on Balakrishna's journey from a child actor to a celebrated leading hero. His Telugu message loosely translated in English, read, "Entering the Telugu film industry as a child actor and as the acting heir of the late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao Garu, winning the hearts of audiences through folklore films, family dramas, and action films, and now completing a long journey of 50 years in his acting career, I wholeheartedly congratulate the eminent actor, Hindupur MLA, and Padma Bhushan awardee Shri Nandamuri Balakrishna Garu for securing a place in the World Book of Records (London).
I sincerely wish that he continues to delight audiences with his performances for many more years and serve the people through public service."
This accolade adds to the actor's earlier honour of receiving the Padma Bhushan in April 2025, making him one of Telugu cinema's most enduring icons.
Daughter's pride and hero
The news was shared by his daughter, Brahmani Nara, who took to Instagram to congratulate her father. She wrote, "A huge congratulations to my father, Nandamuri Balakrishna Garu! 50 years as a leading hero, a feat now in the World Book of Records! You are a true force of nature, an icon on screen, and a compassionate leader off it. So proud of this global recognition for your incredible journey. Our pride, our hero!"
On the work front, he is currently working on 'Akhanda 2: Thaandavam', the sequel to his 2021 blockbuster.On the other hand, Pawan Kalyan will be next seen in 'They Call Him OG' or simply 'OG' which is scheduled to release on September 25, 2025. He is currently working on 'Ustaad Bhagat Singh'.
