Amid the ongoing controversy regarding the Nashik TCS harassment and conversion case, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the government has ordered the central agencies to investigate the case.

Fadnavis further assured that the culprits will not be spared and the government will go to the root of the matter.

“We have to look into the matter. It’s very sensitive and we have activated all agencies to work on this," the Maharashtra Chief Minister added.

TCS Asks Employees At Nashik Office To WFH

Being at the centre of the criticism over religious conversion and harassment claims, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday asked its employees at its Nashik location to work from home as a precautionary measure for their convenience and safety.

According to reports, the decision was taken keeping employee safety in mind. The development comes amid an ongoing probe into allegations of religious conversion and sexual harassment at the TCS Nashik facility.

According to the ongoing police investigation, a total of nine cases have been registered regarding the case — one case being at Deolali camp police station and 8 others at Mumbai Naka.

Responding to the issue, TCS on Sunday said it has long maintained a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of harassment or coercion, and confirmed that employees allegedly involved in sexual harassment at its Nashik office had been suspended.

Tata Sons chairman N Chandrasekaran on Monday termed sexual harassment allegations at TCS Nashik as “gravely concerning and anguishing", and announced an investigation into the matter under a senior executive.

“The complaints and allegations emerging from the Nashik branch of Tata Consultancy Services have been gravely concerning and anguishing," Chandrasekaran said in a statement.
