Bulldozer action began at the Pune premises of RCC Classes after the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) sealed two properties linked to Shivraj Motegaonkar following his detention by the CBI in connection with the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak probe.
Civic officials said the action was initiated over pending property tax dues and alleged unauthorised use of commercial space.
According to PMC officials, RCC Classes, operated by Motegaonkar in Pune, conducted coaching for JEE and NEET aspirants from the premises. The civic body said property tax dues worth Rs 3.20 crore were pending against the properties, following which action was ordered.
Acting on the directions, the PMC building department sealed Shop No 1 on the first floor of a building on JM Road after issuing a notice stating that coaching classes were being operated there without the required permissions. Motegaonkar’s RCC Classes campus is located in the Borawake Building on JM Road.
PMC officials further said illegal parking alterations and unauthorised construction were detected in the building, prompting bulldozer action at the site. The Pune Municipal Corporation has also started an inquiry into other properties linked to Motegaonkar in the city.
The action comes days after the CBI arrested Shivraj Motegaonkar, founder and director of RCC Coaching Institute in Latur, in connection with the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak case after a seven-hour-long interrogation. A Delhi court later sent him to nine-day CBI custody.
According to the CBI, Motegaonkar was an active member of a gang involved in illegally circulating the NEET-UG paper. The arrest and search memo accessed by India Today said that he colluded with other accused to obtain the NEET-UG question papers and answers on April 23.
The nationwide examination was conducted on May 3. However, the National Testing Agency cancelled the exam on May 12 following reports of a paper leak. The re-examination will now take place on June 21.
The CBI raided Motegaonkar’s Latur residence and several branches of his institute on May 14. During the searches, investigators recovered a chemistry question bank containing the same questions that appeared in the May 3 examination.
The agency also recovered a leaked NEET-UG 2026 question paper from Motegaonkar’s mobile phone and sent the device for forensic examination.
According to the investigation, the accused conspired with other gang members and officials linked to the NTA to distribute copies of leaked papers and answer sheets to multiple individuals.
The CBI alleged that Motegaonkar did not disclose the names of all recipients of the handwritten copies of the leaked papers. The agency also claimed that he destroyed the leaked papers after the examination to eliminate evidence.
