A Delhi court has remanded five individuals accused in the NEET paper leak scandal to judicial custody until the second of June. The Central Bureau of Investigation did not seek further police custody for these five suspects, indicating they are not required for immediate questioning at this stage of the ongoing probe. However, the investigative agency has requested a seven-day extension of custody for another key suspect involved in the case. This individual is accused of purchasing the leaked examination paper for Rs ten lakh and subsequently selling it for Rs 15 lakh. The agency requires further custody of this suspect to confront him with new evidence and potentially transport him to various locations as part of the investigation. The court is currently hearing the arguments regarding the extension of custody for this primary suspect, while searches and further investigations into the nationwide examination leak continue.
