Nellore Rural to develop 29 parks with ₹7 crore

Nellore Rural MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy on Monday announced that 29 parks in the constituency will be developed at a cost of ₹7 crore under ‘Chandranna Parkula Baata’ programme.

The municipal officials had recently completed 339 works in the constituency at a cost of ₹41 crore.

Chairing a review meeting on ‘Chandranna Parkula Baata’ programme at Nellore Municipal Corporation (NMC) office on Monday (June 16), the MLA said that the laying of foundation stone for works at 29 parks in the constituency would be organised between June 18 and 20. He revealed that the overall necessary funds have been sanctioned already.

“The Chandranna Parkula Baata programme will be conducted in the constituency from Wednesday (June 18). All the main parks in the city will get a new look with these funds,” the MLA said, while making several suggestions to the NMC officials on the development of the parks.
