Benjamin Netanyahu Health Update: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that doctors recently removed an early-stage malignant tumour, saying the treatment was successful and that he is now in “excellent physical condition."

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Netanyahu said the tumour was discovered during routine medical monitoring following an earlier surgery for an enlarged benign prostate. According to the Israeli leader, the growth was detected at an early stage and removed completely.

“Treatment removed the problem and left no trace of it," Netanyahu said, adding that the issue involved “a tiny spot of less than a centimetre." He described the matter as minor and fully resolved.

“I had a minor medical issue with my prostate that was completely treated. Thank God, it’s behind me," he wrote.

Netanyahu also explained that he had requested a delay in publishing his annual medical report so the information would not be released during the height of the recent conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran. He said he wanted to avoid giving Tehran an opportunity to spread what he called “even more false propaganda against Israel."

The Israeli prime minister said the episode reinforced his belief in acting quickly when risks are identified.

“When I’m given information in time about a potential danger, I want to address it immediately," he said, adding that the principle applies both personally and nationally.

The disclosure comes at a politically significant time, with Netanyahu expected to visit the White House in the coming weeks as Washington pushes for a longer-term peace framework following the recent war with Iran. Meanwhile, Israel’s ceasefire agreement with Lebanon, reached after months of fighting between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah, has been extended by three weeks.
