2026 NFL Schedule Release: Los Angeles Chargers ridicule New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel over Dianna Russini scandal (Image 1 and 3 via Getty, Image 2 via X: Mike Vrabel, Dianna Russini and Los Angeles Chargers logo)
In 2025, the Los Angeles Chargers’ social media marketing team won several praises for the Minecraft version of the 2025 NFL Schedule Release. But in 2026? They are going the petty way. It’s hard to believe.
But they probably believe in ‘hurt where it hurts the most.’
Chargers schedule release video trashes Patriots coach Mike Vrabel with Dianna Russini hint
2026 offseason is full of Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini. But to use it for official purposes? That’s too low. The Los Angeles Chargers are probably still hurt from their embarrassing 3-16 wild card loss to the New England Patriots back in January 2026. So much so, that the Chargers used the Patriots head coach’s scandal in their 2026 NFL Schedule release video. In the video, several Can-Am Mavericks race off a track at night for the Super Bowl. The announcer says, “conquer the cupcakes.” In sports language, cupcakes represent weak teams. Los Angeles defeats everyone in the regular season and reaches the wild card round. Where the announcer skips it [but of course because Los Angeles lost the wild card round to New England in 2025]. Then as they move forward, a stop sign reads, “NEXT PHOTO DUMP 1 MILE.”
As four players enter the conference championship round, the announcer receives a notification on the right corner of the screen. It reads: “NY Post sent you a message.” With that, all four Can-Am Mavericks got destroyed while trying to reach the finish line [New England Patriots could be one of them].
NFL will not review team’s videos for jokes surrounding Mike Vrabel
Yahoo Sports reported, “The NFL will not be reviewing team’s videos for jokes surrounding New England Patriots HC Mike Vrabel ahead of Thursday night’s annual schedule release, as per Front Office Sports. The league is letting teams use their own judgment regarding potential content about Mike Vrabel’s connection with Dianna Russini.” Does that mean the Chargers are not alone? Are there more teams taking a dig at the whole Vrabel-Russini situation?
Las Vegas Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, and Chicago Bears make subtle jabs at Patriots and Mike Vrabel
1. Las Vegas Raiders’ schedule release involved: “IT WAS A FUMBLE” for Patriots. Was Dianna Russini a fumble for Mike Vrabel…?2. Seattle Seahawks were selling perfumes made of teams. They sold Patriots’ perfume including ‘tears’ as an ingredient.
Other ingredients were autumn leaves, Boston baked beans, and clam chowda. 3. Subtle sign through Chicago Bears’ schedule release? Though it was the prettiest of them all. There could be some link to the Mike Vrabel and Dianna Russini scandal. Maybe we’re just searching for a pearl through sand… but it’s worth it! Rome Odunze was creating a scenic masterpiece using oil paints. He started with the Week 11 vs. the New Orleans Saints first. He said, “Let’s start with a little bit of gold and let the good times roll on the canvas.” Then came Week 7 vs. the New England Patriots. To which Odunze said, “Then we’ll add a few Pats of red to really add some depth down there. Let’s go ahead and clean off our brush before the next step.” It’s the last statement there that acts as a clue! After cleaning the brush, Odunze said, “And just beat the heck out of it.” Maybe they want to motivate Mike Vrabel and the Patriots. They want them to forget the past and start the 2026 season with a clean slate…so the reference of cleaning the brush and beat the heck out of it! Just speculation in here.
