Nishant says he will soon tour all 38 districts

Newly joined JD(U) member Nishant Kumar announced plans for a statewide tour of all 38 districts to understand the organization better. Speaking after paying respects at his mother's statue, he expressed his longing for her presence. Nishant also visited his maternal relatives and sought blessings at religious sites in Patna.

Patna: A day after formally joining the JD(U), chief minister Nitish Kumar’s son, Nishant Kumar, said on Monday that he would soon embark on a statewide tour of all 38 districts in the coming days to learn more about the organisation.Talking to reporters after garlanding the statue of his mother, Manju Kumari Sinha, at a park named after her in Kankarbagh area here, Nishant said he has planned to tour across the 38 districts and would soon finalise the proposed tour plan for different region.“I have come here to offer floral tributes to my mother’s statue. I miss mother a lot. May her blessings always remain upon me. Her absence is always felt. It would have been better if she was still around me,” Nishant said while remembering her.

Manju passed away on May 14, 2007, at the age of 53. Later, the state govt renamed a park as ‘Manju Kumari Sinha Smriti Park’.When reporters asked whether he would be elevated as the CM, as the JD(U) workers demanded, Nishant dodged the question and moved ahead.Nishant also went to his maternal uncles’ house located near the park and took the blessings of the maternal uncles and aunts.He later visited Takhat Sri Harimandir Ji, Patna Sahib and prayed for peace and prosperity of the country and the state. From there, Nishant went to Badi Patan Devi Temple, where he performed ‘puja-archana.’
