The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchi (NIT-T), will host the 22nd edition of Pragyan, its annual international techno-managerial festival, from February 19 to 22 on the campus.

Founded in 2005 to promote innovation and technical excellence, Pragyan has grown into a major event attracting participants from across India and abroad. This year’s theme, “Anachronia”, explores the convergence of different time periods and future possibilities through insights from the past.

M. Prasanna Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of NLC India Ltd., will attend the inaugural ceremony on February 19.

The festival will feature workshops, hackathons, exhibitions, guest lectures, technical competitions, and infotainment programmes. Outreach initiatives such as “Techids” introduced school students to careers in science and technology while hackathons, including OMRL and Kanini, were conducted in the run-up to the event. A 24-hour “Next-Gen” hackathon focusing on sports technology will be held during the festival.

Events will be organised across clusters covering robotics, coding, design, and management, alongside exhibitions, panel discussions, and robotics contests. Pragyan is supported by industry partners, including NLC India Ltd., and the City Union Bank.
