Nothing has officially started teasing the launch of a new device in India, confirming it will kick off a brand-new “(b)” product series – likely a smartphone. While the London-based tech firm has kept specific details under wraps, the upcoming device will mark the first time a Nothing product carries the “(b)” suffix.

Evangelidis explained that the (b) series is a logical extension of Nothing’s naming framework, where numbers represent the hardware generation and letters represent different price and product segments.What does (b) stand for? Nothing. It's simply a continuation of our naming system. Numbers represent generations, while letters indicate different product segments. The A Series has been our best-selling smartphone line, bringing the best of Nothing's design innovation while focusing on the features that matter most. The B Series builds on the success of the A Series by expanding into a new segment, while maintaining a clear product hierarchy. The A Series remains our most premium line below our flagship products, which doesn't carry a letter designation.This avoids overusing suffixes and provides a clearer naming structure as the portfolio expands. ‘B’ series aims to build on the success of 'a' series

In case the mysterious (b) series turns out to be a smartphone, it will follow in the footsteps of the Nothing Phone 4a series, which launched in India earlier this year on March 5.Nothing Phone 4a is equipped with a 6.78-inch flexible AMOLED display, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultra-bright peak brightness of 4,500 nits. The device is powered by Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 SoC and features the brand’s iconic rear lighting system, the Glyph interface, utilising mini-LEDs.
