In a bid to motivate bus conductors to encourage passengers to do digital payments, North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) has launched a tri-monthly campaign and on Wednesday those who ensured the highest digital payments in July were honoured.
Addressing the achievers, Managing Director of NWKRTC Priyanga M. said that NWKRTC has recorded good progress in digital payments and the campaign has been launched to increase it further.
She called upon bus conductors to sensitise passengers on UPI payments and encourage them to pay through digital mode instead of cash.
Making the introductory remarks, Chief Traffic Manager Vivekanand Vishwadnya said that the main objective of the campaign is to increase UPI payments. This apart, the corporation will be conducting various other programmes and initiatives to increase UPI payments to the corporation.
Subsequently, two conductors each from the nine divisions of the corporation who ensured the highest digital payments in July were honoured with first and second prizes.
The trimonthly campaign that began on July 1 will continue till September 30.
Chikkodi Division recorded the highest digital payments. Under the category of depots having over 100 schedules Belagavi I Depot and Hubballi Mofussil 2 Depot secured the first and second places, respectively.
Under the category of depots operating less than 100 schedules, Hangal Depot secured the first place.
