A massive fire broke out in Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi after a tanker loaded with Mobil Oil met with an accident on the National Highway.

According to reports, the tanker, transporting oil from Delhi to Kolkata, reportedly collided with an electric pole, causing the driver to lose control. The impact of the collision was so high that it caused the vehicle to overturn, triggering an intense blaze.

The flames quickly engulfed the tanker, turning it into a ball of fire.

The blaze reportedly continued for nearly an hour, sending thick plumes of smoke into the sky. As per the videos being shared on social media, the truck could be seen lying overturned, completely destroyed by the fire.

Soon after receiving information about the accident, a team from the Saini police station and the fire brigade rushed to the scene and began firefighting operations.

As of now, there are no reports of casualties. The driver of the tanker managed to jump out of the vehicle in time and escaped unhurt.

Local authorities are currently on-site trying to douse the fire. Further details are awaited.
