Team USA figure skater Isabeau Levito is still soaking in every moment of life at the 2026 Winter Olympics, even before stepping onto the ice for her biggest event. Speaking to NBC in a video shared on February 16, the 18-year-old joked that she does not want to leave the Olympic Village, saying with a smile, “You can’t evict me.
” Her comments quickly caught attention because they showed a relaxed and happy side of an athlete who is about to compete on one of the world’s biggest stages.For Levito, the Olympic experience already feels special. She said she has spent every night in the Village and feels thankful to simply be there. The young skater from Mount Laurel, New Jersey, explained that everything has lined up perfectly for her to reach this moment.
While the women’s short program takes place on Tuesday, February 17, Levito says she already feels lucky, excited, and completely present in the journey.

Levito has been spending time with fellow Team USA skaters Amber Glenn and Alysa Liu, and the trio has become known as the “Blade Angels.” Their friendship has been a big part of her Olympic experience. Levito has said that the group’s connection shows how figure skating can be supportive instead of overly serious.
According to her, everyone understands they are doing something they love, and that mindset keeps things positive inside the locker room. NBC also posted a video featuring Taylor Swift introducing Levito, Glenn, and Liu as athletes whose stories would capture fans’ hearts. While talking about Levito, Swift highlighted her Italian roots, mentioning that her mother grew up in Milan and her grandmother lives just minutes from the Olympic rink. That personal connection makes this Olympics feel even more meaningful for the skater. Levito has spoken openly about her Italian heritage before the Games. She shared that she visited Italy many times growing up and even joked about eating pasta for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a child. Today, she laughs about those habits but says the memories make returning to Italy feel familiar and comforting.With competition now underway, Levito’s excitement is clear. She says she feels exactly where she is meant to be, ready to perform while still enjoying every second of Olympic life.
