One held with MDMA

The police arrested a 26-year-old man and seized 75 g of MDMA, a psychotropic drug, in Kollam on Sunday.

The accused has been identified as Akhil Sasidharan of Punthalathazham in Kollam. Officials said he purchased the drug, worth around ₹5 lakh, from outside Kerala and brought it here for sale during Onam.

He was nabbed in a joint operation conducted by District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force and Kollam West police. This is the third time he has been caught with MDMA.
