New Delhi: After launching the OnePlus 15 flagship device globally, now OnePlus is preparing to unveil its next-generation flagship, the OnePlus 16, by the end of 2026. The upcoming next-generation flagship OnePlus 16 is expected to be powered by the Pro version of Qualcomm’s next-generation flagship chip, likely to be called the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. It is also stated that it will pack a significantly larger 9,000mAh battery capacity. This smartphone is still in the early stages of development, which means that the final specifications may change ahead of the launch.
This next-generation flagship is reported to come with a flat BOE X5 OLED display with the 1220p resolution, and a 240Hz refresh rate, which is going to be a very smooth display in the smartphone industry. The OnePlus 16 may be powered by the Pro variant of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor, which is also expected to be introduced in the second half of 2026. It is also likely to be paired with LPDDR6 RAM and UFS 4.1 onboard storage, with no option for storage expansion. It is also expected that it comes with the 120W wired fast charging support and 50W wireless charging.
This next-generation flagship might feature two 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensors, one for the primary camera and another for the periscope telephoto lens, and there will be an ultra-wide camera sensor. Some reports also suggested that it include Ultrasonic 2.0 in-display fingerprint scanner, dual coaxial speakers, and a 0916R vibration motor.
