New Delhi: In some reports, it has been indicated that OnePlus has started to experiment with its upcoming gaming-focused handheld device that will resemble a phone in design. Several images of the device have surfaced online, showing a form factor that combines typical smartphone elements with the gaming-oriented additions, such as grips and extra buttons.

While this device looks very similar to the phone, several reports do not confirm its functionality or whether it will support standard smartphone features.

Images also show the device with a candybar-style design, but with the integrated handgrips on the back, offering it a gaming handheld-like appearance. This device retains common smartphone elements such as speaker grille, SIM tray, USB-C Port, and dual rear camera setup with flash.

The presence of shoulder buttons on either side when the device is held horizontally suggests the aim of gaming controls. There are larger buttons that are placed differently from typical volume keys, which could serve as programmable inputs, although this has not been confirmed yet.

This device might feature an 8-inch display and is expected to be powered by the flagship MediaTek Dimensity chipset, and there are many possibilities to be powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset.

There is no confirmation of the authenticity of the images yet, or whether the device will eventually be unveiled.
