Superintendent of Police P. Jagadeesh supervised the ‘Operation Night Safety’ drive in Anantapur city late on Saturday (April 11, 2026) night. The police booked 34 cases of drunken driving and 91 cases against those consuming alcohol in open places.

The drive was conducted to strengthen security in the district at night. Mr. Jagadeesh conducted checks at Sapthagiri Circle, Tower Clock junction, Sri Kantam circle, the RTC bus stand, railway station and other areas. He spoke to motorists about the dangers of drunken driving and the need to follow traffic rules.
