Oppo Reno 16 Series set to debut later this month

New Delhi: Oppo has officially teased that it is going to unveil its latest Oppo Reno 16 series in China. Oppo has confirmed that its Reno 16 series is going to debut on May 25 at 6 PM local time, and it is also expected to include the Oppo Reno 16 and Oppo Reno 16 Pro. However, Oppo has also teased several details about the specifications that are going to be included in the upcoming Oppo Reno 16 lineup.

Oppo Reno 16 might adopt a dual-size flat display strategy. It might feature a 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED flat display, while the Reno 16 Pro is expected to adopt a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with LTPO adaptive refresh rate support.

It is also claimed that the Reno 16 Pro is going to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor, whereas the Reno 16 is going to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 chipset.

In terms of battery, it might become one of the biggest notable features of the series, with the Reno 16 expected to house a 6,700mAh battery and the Reno 16 Pro expected to house the massive 7,000mAh battery pack. Both models might support 80W wired fast charging; on the other hand, the Reno 16 Pro might have 50W wireless charging along with 80W wired charging support.

Oppo Reno 16 series is expected to feature a triple-rear camera setup which consists of a 200MP Samsung HP5 main camera sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide camera lens, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera lens. However, Reno 16 might be available in Fairy Purple, Lucky Clover, Black Horse, and Heartbeat Star color options, whereas Reno 16 Pro will be available in Dream Blue, Black Horse, and Heartbeat Star shades.
