Bhubaneswar: Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has initiated the distribution of school bags for students from Sishu Vatika to Class 3 studying in govt schools across the state.
OSEPA state project director Ananya Das asked district education officers-cum-district project coordinators under Samagra Shiksha to coordinate the receipt and distribution of the bags.Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC) has been tasked to supply the bags to designated block-level points for the distribution. The programme will cover students enrolled in govt schools under the School and Mass Education department and the ST & SC Development department.According to the guidelines, two categories of bags will be distributed. Students from Sishu Vatika to Class 1 will receive size-I bags, while students of Classes 2 and 3 will be provided size-II bags. OSEPA directed district officials to ensure timely receipt of the consignments and their distribution to schools as per the approved allocation. The authority asked officials to report any discrepancies noticed during the receipt of the materials.
