Manny Pacquiao, 47, returns to face Ruslan Provodnikov in a 10-round welterweight exhibition on April 18 at Thomas and Mack Center, Las Vegas.

Manny Pacquiao isn’t done yet. The legendary boxer is stepping back into the ring.

The 47-year-old icon will face former junior welterweight world champion Ruslan Provodnikov in a 10-round welterweight exhibition on April 18 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

“Returning to Las Vegas means so much to me, and I’m excited to work with a team focused on creating a world-class experience for the fans," Pacquiao said in a statement. “I’m coming back to give them a great fight, and I’m ready."

Pacquiao last fought on July 19 against WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios, battling to a majority draw. Two judges scored it even, while Max DeLuca saw it 115-113 for Barrios.

The result left Pacquiao’s professional record at 62-8-3 (39 KOs).

He returned from a four-year retirement for that bout and turned 47 in December. In June, he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame.

“I carry the Philippines with me every time I fight," Pacquiao added. “The support from my country and from fans around the world continues to inspire me."

The Siberian Rocky Returns

Provodnikov, now 42, hasn’t fought professionally since 2016. The Russian (25-5, 18 KOs) became a cult favourite after his brutal 2013 Fight of the Year against Timothy Bradley. He later captured the WBO 140-pound title by defeating Mike Alvarado but lost it to Chris Algieri.

Nicknamed “The Siberian Rocky," Provodnikov also faced Lucas Matthysse and knocked out Jose Luis Castillo during his rugged run.
