Fresh remarks by Lashkar-e-Taiba deputy chief Saifullah Qasoori rejecting any recognition of Israel and portraying Pakistan-Saudi defence ties as part of a larger Islamic front against the Jewish state raised fresh concerns over how extremist narratives are increasingly echoing Pakistan’s geopolitical positioning on Israel. Saifullah Qasoori, described by top Indian intelligence sources as the mastermind of the Pahalgam terror attack, issued a strongly worded warning against any Muslim ruler or country accepting Israel.

“If they sign thinking we too should accept the Jews of Israel, even though that cannot happen, whoever does so, whether they are a ruler, a king, or anyone else, whoever accepts Israel will be destroyed, devastated, and ruined," Saifullah Qasoori said in a speech circulated online. He further declared that the Muslim world would “never, under any circumstances" recognise Israel.

“This is our faith as the Muslim Ummah that it will never, under any circumstances, recognize Israel," he said, while also describing Israel as “a bully, a terrorist, and the world’s biggest thug."

The remarks come shortly after Pakistan firmly rejected calls by US President Donald Trump to normalise relations with Israel under the Abraham Accords framework. Islamabad reiterated its long-standing position that it would not recognise Israel without the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif had also publicly rejected suggestions that Muslim-majority nations should join the Abraham Accords alongside broader US-Iran negotiations.

In his speech, Saifullah Qasoori repeatedly invoked Pakistan’s strategic and military positioning while framing the country as a central force in what he described as the “Islamic world." Referring to the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia defence pact signed in 2025, Saifullah Qasoori claimed the arrangement had effectively brought Pakistan militarily closer to Israel.

“The distance from Pakistan to Israel was 4,000 kilometers. Today, Pakistan, with all its power, technology, and resources capable of destroying the enemy, is present just 400 kilometers away from Israel," he said.

He further described Pakistan as the “defense leader of the Islamic world" and Saudi Arabia as its “spiritual and ideological leader."

Top Indian intelligence sources said the remarks reflect an attempt by Saifullah Qasoori to push jihadist ideology and frame Pakistan-Saudi strategic cooperation through an anti-Israel lens. Officials, however, cautioned that the Pakistan-Saudi defence pact signed around September 2025 is a broader mutual defence and security cooperation arrangement and not a forward military deployment aimed specifically at Israel.

“The agreement is focused on broader security cooperation, not offensive deployment purposes 400 kilometers from Israel," sources said.
