Paras Arora, Geetanjali Mishra and others reveal their Mahashivratri rituals and celebration plans

Mahashivratri is one of the most auspicious and divine festivals dedicated to Lord Shiva. The festival symbolises devotion and truth. It holds deep significance and is celebrated with fasting, night-long prayers, and sacred rituals.

Similarly, &TV artists share how they are going to observe Mahashivratri this year and the traditions they follow. These include Jayshankar Tripathi (playing Mahesh in the upcoming show Hey Bhagwaan – Kitna Badal Gaya Insaan), Paras Arora (Jeetu from Gharwali Pedwali), Geetanjali Mishra (Rajesh, Happu Ki Ultan Paltan), and Rohitashv Gour (Manmohan Tiwari, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai 2.0).Jayshankar Tripathi, who will be seen as Mahesh Sharma in Hey Bhagwaan – Kitna Badal Gaya Insaan, shares, “Mahashivratri has been an integral part of my life since childhood.

I have always been a devoted Mahadev bhakt and follow the rituals of fasting, prayers, and night-long devotion with complete faith. This year feels especially divine and special because, in my upcoming show Hey Bhagwaan – Kitna Badal Gaya Insaan, Mahadev is portrayed as my companion who is guiding me in my life situations.

I feel truly blessed to be a part of a show that reflects my personal beliefs, as if Shiv Ji is showering his love on me.

I truly believe he has guided me to this project, and I thank him for trusting me with such a meaningful role. Har Har Mahadev.”Paras Arora, who essays Jeetu in Gharwali Pedwali, says, “For me, Mahashivratri is a day of internal peace and self-reflection. I personally have a great connection with Lord Shiva, and I am a Shiv bhakt. Every year on Mahashivratri, I make sure that I visit different Mahadev temples and take Lord Shiva’s darshan, and this year is also going to be the same.

Riding my bike and exploring hidden Shiva temples has become a personal tradition, and it allows me to disconnect from the chaos of the world.

Geetanjali Mishra, who plays Rajesh in Happu Ki Ultan Paltan, shares, “Mahashivratri is that one festival I eagerly wait for and look forward to. I have made a promise to myself that every year I visit one of the Jyotirlingas for darshan, and it has become a long-standing tradition for me.

Standing in the queue, offering prayers, and absorbing the spiritual energy makes me feel very grounded as a human being. This also brings inner peace to me; this year I have planned to visit Shri Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga for darshan.

Rohitashv Gour, who plays Manmohan Tiwari in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai 2.0, says, “Mahashivratri holds great importance and significance in my life. I always feel blessed by Lord Shiva when it comes to my family and work. My whole family and I keep a fast on Mahashivratri, we perform puja, and my wife makes delicious Maha prasad at home. These rituals are not just religious practices for us but moments that strengthen our family bond.

Chanting prayers and sitting together during the puja fills our home with positivity. Happy Mahashivratri to everyone.”
