‘Patriot’: After Mohanlal, Mammootty completes the dubbing of an espionage thriller

Superstar Mammootty has completed dubbing his portions for the upcoming film ‘Patriot’. This comes days after Mohanlal wrapped up dubbing his portions for the film. On Monday, February 17, the makers of the film confirmed that the superstar has wrapped up dubbing his portions.

They also shared a video from the dubbing studio. In the video, Mammootty is seen arriving in his luxe car to the dubbing studio, dressed in a printed shirt and dhoti.

“Aura unmatched. Presence undeniable. Mammootty wraps up dubbing for #Patriot,” the makers said, sharing the video. Check out the photo here.

The upcoming film brings Mammootty and Mohanlal in a fully-fledged role after a while. “I didn’t cast them just because they are stars. I approached them because those actors were right for the story I wanted to tell. They, too, come to the set as dedicated artists,” Mahesh Narayanan earlier said, about casting the two superstars of Malayalam cinema.

Fahadh Faasil recently revealed that he plays the antagonist in the film. “I play the villain in Patriot.”On the technical front, Manush Nandan handles the cinematography, and Mahesh Narayanan is the editor, alongside Rahul Radhakrishnan. Sushin Shyam is composing the music.

What’s next for Mammootty?

Mammootty is currently filming for Adoor Gopalakrishnan’s directorial ‘Padayaatra’. The film marks Mammootty’s fourth reunion with the director. They first collaborated for ‘Anantaram’ in 1987. Later in 1990, they teamed up for ‘Mathilukal’, an adaptation of Vaikom Muhammad Basheer's novel. Their last collaboration was for the 1994 release ‘Videyan’. ‘Padayaatra’ also has actors Indrans, Grace Antony, Sreeshma Chandran, and Zeenath AP in pivotal roles.
