SRM University, Amaravati has emerged as a significant point on the global quantum technology map with the establishment of a functional, indigenously built quantum computer at its Quantum Control Lab, according to Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ch. Satish Kumar.

Expressing pride over the development, Prof. Satish Kumar said the university plans to introduce specialised courses and actively promote research in quantum computing. He noted that SRM University is one of the two locations in Amaravati where quantum computers have been installed for testing components and advancing research. The other facility has been set up at Medha Towers, part of the IT ecosystem near Vijayawada.
