As Prime Minister Narendra Modi ended his election campaign in West Bengal, he wrote an emotional letter, addressing the people of Bengal.

Sharing the letter, he took to X and wrote, “Throughout the entire election campaign in West Bengal, the immense love and blessings I received from my family members have filled me with a new energy. Be it the youth power here or the women power, our farmer brothers and sisters, workers, or businessmen, everyone is committed to a ‘Developed Bengal’. In this letter, I have expressed my feelings towards them…"

PM Modi Writes Letter To The People Of Bengal

In his letter, PM Modi said, “Prior to the Pran Pratishtha (consecration ceremony) of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya in January 2024, I observed an 11-day Anushthan—a rigorous spiritual discipline and fast. During this election campaign as well, I experienced the very same spiritual resonance—the kind one feels while offering prayers at a temple of the Goddess."

He further said that “Across all the rallies and roadshows held in Bengal, I have received such heartfelt messages and photographs—filled with a profound sense of belonging and affection—that I can never, ever forget them. Whenever I find the very first opportunity after the rallies and roadshows conclude, I sit down late at night and, with a deep sense of tranquility, gaze upon those photographs… I read your loving messages and letters, and I even have my replies drafted in response. Whether it be the youth, our sisters and daughters, or the elderly—the sheer depth of affection I witness among companions of every age group is, truly, the greatest wealth of my life."

“Throughout this election campaign, I also observed just how eager and impatient the people of Bengal—be they the youth, women, farmers, or laborers—are for a ‘Developed Bengal.’ The youth of Bengal now seek an open field—a level playing ground—to forge ahead in life. Our daughters yearn for an open sky—for freedom and opportunity—and, above all, for security. Every single citizen, every single family in Bengal is marching forward with one unified resolve: “Now is the time for change." There has been enough fear; now, what is needed is trust. Now, what is needed is the BJP," PM Modi stated.

“To serve Bengal, and to ensure the safety and security of Bengal—this is my solemn duty. To transform every challenge confronting Bengal into an opportunity is a task that is both my destiny and my responsibility. I will never waver or step back from this responsibility. I give you my solemn assurance: together, all of us will celebrate the joyous occasion of a BJP Chief Minister taking the oath of office in Bengal," he added.
