In a historic leap, PM Modi unveiled the landmark "Seva Teerth" complex on February 13, consolidating the PMO and key ministries with 4-Star GRIHA standards.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the Seva Teerth complex, which will house the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), the National Security Council Secretariat and the Cabinet Secretariat.

The PMO will shift from the South Block on Raisina Hill to Seva Teerth, bringing together the offices of the Cabinet Secretariat and the National Security Council Secretariat that were located at different places.

Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manohar Lal, Minister of State in the PMO Jitendra Singh, and officials from the PMO were present on the occasion when PM Modi inaugurated the new building.

Seva Teerth's buildings are clad in white and red sandstone, referencing material traditions found in historic Indian civic and institutional architecture. This palette lends the structure a dignified, durable, and timeless quality while anchoring it within a recognisable cultural context.

The entrance portal draws inspiration from the stone screen-work of Chalukyan temples dating from the 11th-13th centuries. The floral stone motif is derived from square-based geometric patterns traditionally found in temple panels.

Designed in accordance with 4-Star GRIHA standards, Seva Teerth's complexes will incorporate renewable energy systems, water conservation measures, waste management solutions, and high-performance building envelopes.

The Union Minister (Ind. Charge) of Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh, also highlighted the significance of Seva Teerth inauguration, and stated that it showcases the PM's resolve to "shed colonial legacies."
