POCO X8 Pro set to raise the bar with Dimensity 8500 chipset

New Delhi: POCO has recently reported that it is gearing up to introduce its much-anticipated POCO X8 Pro in India soon. The latest POCO device is going to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 processor, which is coupled with 12GB of RAM, and it is also expected to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 5, which debuted in China on January 29 this year. In some reports, this POCO X8 Pro series might debut in India in March. As we know, it has a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 5, consumers can expect that it will feature a 6.59-inch display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz OLED display.

POCO X8 Pro is likely to be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 processor, and the Redmi Turbo 5 runs on Android 16-based Xiaomi HyperOS 3. It comes with the 50MP primary camera sensor, which is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide camera sensor and a 20MP front-facing camera sensor for selfies and video calling. It is powered by a 7,560mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging. In terms of durability, it carries an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance.

MediaTek has also confirmed it will debut with the POCO device in India with the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor, which now opens up the possibility of POCO X8 Pro Max launching too; however, it is likely to be a rebranding of the Redmi Turbo 5 Max.
